National Novel Writing Month

My wonderful best friend Stephanie happened to let me know that this month is National Novel Writing Month! If you go to nanowrimo.org, you can participate in the challenge to write an entire novel in just one month! If you’re like me and you have plenty of ideas floating around but haven’t actually written them down yet this is a great opportunity to write a rough draft of a book. In fact, plenty of my favorites–Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins, The Forest of Hands and Teeth by Carrie Ryan, Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell, and Cinder by Marissa Meyer–were initially written for National Novel Writing Month. Very exciting!

If you decide to participate, you can add me as a writing buddy by searching for my username–shortstack930. I’m planning to write a YA dystopian novel and I can’t wait to get started! Happy writing!
